When ek Private Advisory got in touch about updating their team headshots, I was genuinely excited. They weren’t just looking for “new photos”, they wanted portraits that felt like them.

ek is a boutique advisory firm built on trust, clarity and strong relationships. They work closely with individuals, families and businesses through important (and often complex) decisions, so it was really important that their headshots reflected warmth, confidence and approachability, not stiff or overly corporate images.

The Brief

The aim was to create a set of professional headshots that would:

During the session, my focus was on making everyone feel at ease. Most people tell me they’re “not great in front of the camera”, so I guide gently throughout, from how to stand, where to place hands, right through to expression, so nothing feels forced or awkward.

We kept things simple and clean, allowing the attention to stay on the person rather than the background. The goal was always to capture:
